How to speak whale

This is a story about the pioneers in a new age of discovery, whose cutting-edge developments in natural science and technology are taking us to the brink of decoding animal communication - and whales, with their giant mammalian brains and sophisticated vocalisations, offer one of the most realistic opportunities for us to do so.

Using 'underwater ears', robotic fish, big data and machine intelligence, leading scientists and tech - entrepreneurs across the world are working to turn the fantasy of Dr Doolittle into a reality, upending much of what we know about these mysterious creatures.

Enormously original and hugely entertaining. How to Speak Whale is an unforgettable look at how close we truly are to communicating with another species - and how doing so might change our world beyond recognition.

Delivery

**UK (Mainland and non-Mainland) £5.95**

We use Royal Mail for delivery and you should ensure that someone is available to receive the parcel or add delivery instructions when placing your order.

We aim to deliver your goods to you within 3 to 5 working days of receiving your order. However, please allow another 7 working days before querying a non-delivery. If any item is out of stock you will receive a credit note or an item will be substituted.

We regret to inform you that as of January 2024, we can no longer offer delivery outside of the United Kingdom. This is due to the increase in postal charges and the additional European import taxes that are applied, of which we have no control. We appreciate that this is disappointing news and may cause inconvenience to some of you, but unfortunately, we have no control over these charges and as a charity, we are unable to absorb the increase in costs. We hope that you understand the measures that we have had to take and that you will continue to support us and our efforts to protect whales and dolphins.

We do not deliver to P.O. Boxes.
